Anne Sullivan

Lead Client Partner

Having worked with Met Police for five years on recruitment campaigns including PCs, Diversity, Direct Entry Superintendents and Cadets (award winning), Anne is the driving force behind the Met’s employer branding and has delivered community recruitment events and the Commissioner’s Excellence Awards. With in-depth understanding of your organisation she is ideally positioned to oversee and take strategic management responsibility for this contract too. Having gained a BA (Hons) in Film, Media and Cultural Studies from Middlesex University, Anne started her career in an editing company, later moving into the field of recruitment communications joining Barkers (part of Penna since 2009) in 2004. Based in London as a Lead Client Partner, Anne is ultimately responsible for all the clients within her portfolio. Her now extensive industry experience has been gained delivering a wide variety of recruitment solutions to an equally wide range of clients. Having worked with many high profile organisations across multiple sectors, such as The Metropolitan Police and The Home Office, she is well versed in devising and implementing innovative attraction, digital, employer brand and graduate strategies that work. Outgoing and highly motivated, Anne brings a positive outlook and real customer focus to her work. She thrives on a challenge and her excellent interpersonal skills enable her to forge strong relationships at all levels and to motivate colleagues to deliver effectively.

Ann Hartley

Head of Assessment, Penna

Ann is a Business Psychologist with 30 years’ consultancy experience as an assessment specialist and leads Penna’s Business Psychology team. She has a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Surrey and an MSc in Organisational Psychology from Bristol University. She has designed and delivered selection and development solutions from entry level to CEO and Board level appointments for clients in the commercial and public enterprise sectors . This has included developing innovative and ground breaking immersive digital assessments for clients operating in sensitive security contexts to supporting organisations move their entire assessment processes online. She is accustomed to working closely with senior stakeholders in developing their assessment needs and advising Board level selection panels and RemCo’s.

Alexis Curtis-Harris

Diversity and Inclusion Lead

Alexis joined Penna in 2014 after spending seven years at Capita Resourcing and Reed Professional Services where she worked on large-scale resourcing strategies and digital projects for clients including the Office for National Statistics, Barclays Retail and the BBC. Alexis brings her D and I expertise to the operational delivery of end-to-end recruitment solutions and oversees our attraction ,selection and assessment work to ensure it promotes the highest standards of diversity and inclusion. Alexis plays a client-facing role with clear responsibilities for strategy and programme development relating to diversity and inclusion in engagement, attraction and selection. Alexis regularly advises clients such as Metropolitan Police, Homes England, St James’s Place, Network Rail, The Bank of England and other government bodies and local authorities on their D&I strategies, learning and development, knowledge sharing, equality impact assessments and enabling inclusive recruitment.

Roger Russell

Practice Director Penna Enterprise, Executive Search and Board Appointments

Roger has over 20 years’ experience of recruiting Board and C-Suite level positions across a variety of sectors. He joined Penna in 2015 having previously ran business units with full P&L responsibility within a FTSE 100 company. A versatile and experienced headhunter Roger supports companies and public sector institutions in the UK and abroad find the C-Suite and Board level talent they need to deliver success and sustainable growth. His current mandates include establishing a Board and executive structure for a Development Company and an international search for a world leading research Institute in the Life Sciences sector.
